Staining

Frequent Staining Can Protect Your Investment

It's always good to stain both an exterior/uncovered deck and your wood siding at least every 3-4 years. Frequent staining helps to protect the wood from the intense sun here at altitude, and can minimize the effects of oxidation (a normal occurrence with wood siding, which can result in darkening of the siding).

Always Hand-Brushed

We always hand-brush stain. Many contractors prefer to spray stain on because it's faster, but we prefer the quality and appearance of hand-brushed stain. It just looks better and lasts longer.

A Job Done Right

When we stain decks, we like to stain the underside as well. Staining the underside, in our opinion, serves two purposes: helping to seal the underside from snow melt (which damages the joists over time) and it's more aesthetically pleasing. We never cut corners just because you can’t see them.

Deck Repair

We can repair or replace rotten posts, warped or cracked deck boards, and crumbling railings, as well as complete deck replacements. If your deck could use a little love, let us take a look and let’s see what we can do.
